SAND WORM SUPER XL
The Lumbrineris latreilli has an iridescent appearance: pink, orange or brown depending on the angel. The Sand worm has an elongated, cylindrical body tapering at both extremities. It has no tentacular rings, but does have a striated, opalescent Y-shaped jaw.
It is packaged in a plastic box containing 5 pieces on a substrate of coarse sea sand.
This species, grows all over the world in temperate waters, although our sand worm is collected entirely in Galicia. They grow up to 300 mm and live mostly in fine, muddy sand, especially in substrates and mud rich in organic matter.
Despite being a worm of less thickness and length compared to the rest, the large amount of iodine it contains inside makes it a great objective for fish in techniques such as shore fishing and surf casting.
Available all year round, but may be subject to shortages due to inclement weather.
All worms can have a loss of 40 % of their original weight, according to species.
