Product description

The Dendrobaena worm or Eisenia hortensis is a reddish to brownish earthworm. It is an oligochaete of the subclass Annelida, which means it has a segmented cylindrical morphology and a clitellum or "collar" that forms a reproductive envelope.

Its size can range from 5 to 10 cm.

It is packaged in a plastic box on a natural soil base.

Main characteristics

Its habitat is found in European inland areas, in wooded areas where the foliage is accumulated with a high content of organic matter.

It is used in fishing, especially in coup fishing.

Availability

Available all year round, but may be subject to shortages due to inclement weather.
All worms can have a loss of 40 % of their original weight, according to species.
